Restoring Angwantaki Primary School: Rebuilding Hope

In the heart of Angwantaki community in Nasarawa State, a silent struggle unfolded, one that threatened the future of over 800 children.

Months ago, Angwantaki Primary School stood as a structure in name, but not in function. Classrooms were nearly empty. Termites had destroyed desks and chairs. With only one Headteacher left to manage the entire school, the burden was overwhelming. Gradually, the children stopped coming. What should have been a vibrant center of learning became a silent and deteriorating space.

But that silence did not go unnoticed.

A Community-Led Transformation Began…

Through our Back-to-School Project, Ndi Assam Foundation stepped in not just to rebuild a school, but to restore a system of learning rooted in community strength and ownership, understanding that sustainable impact goes beyond physical structures, the Foundation adopted a collaborative approach:
